House Parents play an essential role with the boarding students at home and school. They act as substitute-parents in cooperation with their daytime social and academic educators. Their main focus is to ease the transitional period between homes.
Boarding House Parents aim to:
• Make sure students’ personal necessities are met by offering them a clean and healthy atmosphere.
• Supervise students’ academic progress and act upon providing their needs in cooperation with the school section director.
• Follow up on their health, mental and safety development in coordination with the nurse and counselors, and encourage physical activity.
• Plan and take part in their activities and weekends to create a family bond.
• Make sure they create a sense of friendship and trust with the students in order to support them and guide them during their daily challenges.
